Our Omega-3 Organic Linseed Oil is gently cold-pressed from the high-quality golden linseeds. For further protection, the extraction is carried out in the absence of light and air. Through this it tastes milder and can be used versatile in the cold kitchen. Linseed oil is characterized by a very high content of alpha-linolenic acid, which represents more than half of the fatty acids in the oil (55%). Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) is a vegetable omega-3 fatty acid and therefore of particular importance for the supply of omega-3 fatty acids for all those who do not like fish or live a vegetarian lifestyle.
Already one serving (10 ml = 1 tbsp.) provides:
5.5 g α-linolenic acid and thus contributes to the maintenance of normal cholesterol levels. The positive effect is achieved with a daily intake of 2 g α-linolenic acid. With 1 tablespoon of linseed oil one already takes up 275% of the desired amount.

Usage:
Linseed oil should not be heated, as the a-linolenic acid is very sensitive. Try linseed oil with cottage cheese or enjoy it with jacket potatoes or vegetables.
Storage and Consumption Notes:
When stored in a cool place, cloudiness may occur due to fatty substances, which does not represent a quality defect. Protect from light and heat. Once opened, store in the refrigerator and consume within 3 weeks.
